good day.

went to support ling at bukit gombak. Track Ivp.
Girl, you did wonderful. first run leh.
so proud of you. =)

anyway, it's been a great day.
the camwhoring, the cheering, the eating, the talking.
haha. enjoyed myself.
learnt and saw many things today.
hope i'll remember these thoughts.
good experience really.
admire the trackers for not only their amazing determination, but the way they go all out to beat their PB.
courage, strength, determination, perseverance, humility, the ability to perform under pressure.
so many wonderful qualities displayed in a single day at a simple sports complex.
cool. =D

reminded me of dance. alot.
of how the chosen few of us were supposed to do all those stunts.
eg, front walk.- doing a handstand and then landing in an arch.
of how it's really about mental strength in the end.
of how i pushed myself to overcome my fear right on stage itself.
of how superb it felt to know that you've done it. that you overcame your fear.

this feeling is so great. hearing the applause because you know you and your friends finally did it, though everyone was damn afraid of hitting the ground (but we just hugged each other and promised to do the stunt no matter what.) it made all the falls and the pain worthwhile. it made you believe in yourself. this feeling is so amazing. =)

and i think many times life's like this.
many things depend solely on yourself. in the end, it's not your friends who're gonna run the race/ do the stunt for you. it's you on your own. they can cheer for you, they can applaud. but that's all they're able to do- provide support. what matters most is whether you can rise up to the occasion. believe in yourself even if you don't. because if you don't believe, you probably have lost the fight already. and when u start believing in yourself and your ability, then you'll see that you can achieve the so-called impossible.

hey i really did not think that i would be able to do all the stunts cause i feared gymnastics since young. (though it's fun) didn't like supporting my weight with my hands. so scary. But i did it. with a lot of encouragement from the dancers, the instructors who believed in me, and with plenty of hard work and pain and finally, with a most basic trust in myself. would say that i'm proud i came this far with dance. =) really felt like crap in the past, doubting myself and my ability. always wondered why laoshi has to put me in the snake group, which was supposedly the grp that wins points for our dance cause of the stunts involved. felt horrid cause i doubted her decision, and myself. really felt like quitting. felt like asking her to transfer me to another group cause it's the easy way out and i really don't want to bring the team down.

but that didn't happen. and in a way, i'm glad i stuck it out.
though there were plenty of tears at trainings.
oh man, i remember it all clearly.
me crying cause i was so damn disappointed with myself.
cause i injured my back and my performance deteriorated.
funny how everyone tells you "it's all in the head" and you know they aren't wrong
but sometimes it's just not so easy.
still, lessons learnt from dance, i'll never forget.

so this is the reason why i've been so quiet today.
LOL. i wasn't emo-ing please. don't get worried for me, you two girls!
everything just felt so familiar.
couldn't stop my thoughts from coming. haha.

dance is beautiful =)
it is strong, yet gentle at the same time.

it's funny how different dance and track is, and yet how similar the lessons we can take away from them.
